Notarial and registry matter
Legal advice
Regulatory and doctrinal set that regulates the activity of public officials called notaries. To a large extent, it is made up of private law rules that complement, in their formal dimension, the substantive rules of civil and commercial law. More than a clearly differentiated legal discipline, it is a normative grouping applicable to the notarial function, insofar as this consists of receiving the will of the parties, advising it where appropriate, in drafting the corresponding notarial document and authorizing it with public faith, keep it and issue the interested copies. In any case, the notarial function is carried out at the request of a party and, despite being exercised at the service of private interests, it will always respect the public interest.
The notarial function extends to all non-contentious legal activities, thus providing legal certainty and preventing possible litigation and conflicts by mediating between the parties.
